Connect & Play; Adult/Child Partner Aerial Yoga with Hollie Nesbitt

Practicing aerial yoga together cultivates stronger bonds. Experience an aerial yoga practice while adding in partner poses with your child partner. This is a playful, energizing, and fun class for all. Traditional yoga poses will be practiced using the hammock as a prop for deeper stretching, inversions, decompression, balancing poses, swinging, and partner poses. Breathing and relaxation in the cocoon of the hammock at the end of class will leave you with a sense of peace and revitalization.

Cost: $40 per pair (10% off for Modo Members)

Madcapp Puppets - The Great Space Caper

The Hats Off Series started in 1994 at the Cincinnati Art Museum with original shows produced and presented by Madcap Puppets. Within a few years, the program in collaboration with the Museum proved so successful that Madcap Puppets began to premiere 3 to 4 productions each season at the museum before taking them out on national tour.

Hands-On Seed Starting

Become an expert at starting your garden plants from seed.  Starting you own transplants allows you to have more choices to grow a particular variety of vegetable, herb, or flower. Topics covered in the class will include which plants you should start indoors, and which should be direct-seeded into the garden, the correct planting date for different crops, and great sources of seeds. Each participant will go home with a 10X20′ flat of potting soil and newly planted seeds.

Baby Tours at the Cincinnati Art Museum

This 40 minute experience will introduce you and your infant (ages 0-2) to the world of art with a tour designed to stimulate their developing minds. We will explain the positive effects of visual stimulation with masterpieces that will mesmerize the Art Museum’s youngest visitors. Strollers are not recommended so that you and your child can better experience the art together.

Join the Turner Farm Teaching Kitchen team for a cheese filled  comfort food classic: macaroni and cheese. The teaching kitchen team will walk the young chefs through making their own mac and cheese from scratch as well as how to modify a classic recipe to add their own personal touches!

It is time for the 4th annual Taste of the Nations. While attending this free event, you will be able to travel the world in ONE place! You will be offered a guided tour through the nations, with the opportunity to taste food from around the world. Families and friends have joined together to create culturally diverse masterpieces for your enjoyment. There will be raffles and giveaways, a children’s zone, and a parade of nations for the children to participate in. A variety of vendors will also be selling crafts, jewelry, clothing, and much more.

PARENT & (PRE)TEEN CLASS : RAMEN FROM SCRATCH

The Turner Farm Teaching Kitchen will be hosting a number of classes specifically for pre-teens and teens to learn and foster culinary skills that will last a lifetime, but this class is a little more focused on bringing together parents and kids through cooking, creating lasting memories. This week’s class will focus on working together (parent & child) to build your own ramen bowls, including noodles and assorted toppings. Chef will also cover how to make these in bulk and freeze extras for dinner in a snap. This hands-on class will be limited in size so act fast!

All adults must be accompanied by a child, or teen (ages 8-17), and all children must be accompanied by an adult over 18.
